Who am I?

I'm Justin Armburger, the art director of Lawn & Landscape and Cannabis Dispensary magazines, based in Cleveland, Ohio.

My job responsibilities include:
• Designing the print and digital editions
• Branding, marketing and event design
• Collaborating with freelance illustrators and photographers
• Working with editorial team in planning future projects

I'm also an adjunct professor at Kent State University, where I teach Public Relations Publications, which teaches PR students how to apply theory and concepts to create practical, efficient design.

Past Work:
Prior to GIE, I worked for The Patriot-News/PA Media Group in Harrisburg, Pa., from October 2010 to October 2013 on the Presentation Desk and designed most Sunday A1s (including inside packages), along with sports and feature fronts. I also researched/created infographics, edited copy.

Education:
I graduated with honors from Kent State University in Ohio in 2010 with a B.S. in Journalism with a concentration on Information Design, and spent two summers as a graphic design intern at The Chautauquan Daily, in Chautauqua, N.Y.
